UGro XL KoKo Blok 70L is een 5 kg blok geperst en gedroogd kokossubstraat met een laag percentage vezels. Het XL-formaat maakt het tot een voordelige oplossing. Met 18 liter water levert het tot 70 liter kokos op. Het is geschikt voor alle soorten gewassen, zowel binnen- als buitenshuis. Perfect voor de korte termijn en seizoensgebonden gewassen.

Great Stuff

The quality of the coir is very good and it is very easy to get you substrate without having huge packaging and their costs. Also one of the cheapest Ive found on internet.

You do have to use other nutrients compared to soil cause the PH is different and it barely contain any nutrients unlike soil. This is good for intermediate growers that want more control on nutrients and water. If done right you have a faster and better response to your changes than when you wouldve chosen a soil/peat mix.

This substrate is re-usable for 2-3 times. After use you completely dry out the cococoir, the stem+roots are easily pulled out. Drown the substrate in regular tap water to start washing it with a sieve or strainer to remove the dust. What is left has to be buffered with a roughly 150% strength CalMag nutrients for atleast 8hrs.
Or just reuse it straight in your garden, great stuff to make the soil more airy or as toplayer against drying out.
